Slaughter Operative

Pay : £12.59 unskilled- £17.59 specialist

Shift Pattern: Monday To Friday

6.45am to 5.30pm (2 x half hour unpaid breaks)

We have opportunities for people who want to join a friendly, inclusive, fast-growing business as Slaughter Operatives in our Slaughter hall.

Roles and responsibilities 

• Ensuring the factory remains clean and tidy.

• Assisting senior slaughter operatives in their work carrying out various tasks.

• Moving carcasses into walk-in fridges.

• Working on a pork slaughter line and being responsible for preparing pigs for food production.

• Handling the animals and raw meat.

• Adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent Communication skills as you will be dealing with a diverse workforce as well as communicating with Senior Stakeholders

• Experience in UK training Requirements. 

• A very good understanding of verbal and written English.

• Ability to work in a cold environment

• Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable but not essential as all training will be provided

For skilled - Specialist

• It is essential that you hold a Certificate of Competence for this role.

• Excellent Communication skills as you will be dealing with a diverse workforce as well as potential communications with Senior Stakeholders.

• Unskilled Operative - £12.59 per hour

• Semi - Skilled Operative - £13.59 per hour

• Skilled Operative - £14.59 per hour for skilled

• Specialist Slaughter Operatives £17.59 per hour

• Overtime will be paid for any hours worked over 45 hours per week at time and a half
